Responsibilities
-
Provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and first aid care for injuries or illnesses on industrial worksites.

Monitor patient condition and prepare for handoff or transport to higher-level medical care when required.

Maintain all first aid equipment, supplies, and documentation to regulatory and company standards.

Complete accurate, confidential reporting of all incidents, treatments, and safety observations.

Support site safety by identifying hazards and escalating concerns to supervisors or safety leads.
-
Communicate clearly and professionally with workers, supervisors, and external emergency responders.
-
Remain ready to respond throughout the shift, ensuring availability and mobility for emergencies.

Participate in safety meetings, drills, and site-specific training as required.

Follow established protocols, chain of command, and client expectations at all times.
Qualifications
-
Experience working in remote and industrial environments.

Comfortable functioning independently in isolated work settings.
-
Self-motivated and eager to learn the processes, hazards, and workflows of the industries we support.

Able to stay calm, focused, and effective during high-stress situations.
-
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage documentation, supplies, and daily duties.
-
Trustworthy, reliable, and forthcoming with information relevant to patient care and safety.
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Able to work collaboratively with field staff, supervisors, and client representatives.
-
Physically able to perform first aid duties, including patient movement, equipment handling, and extended outdoor work.
Bonus Qualifications
-
Experience driving 4WD vehicles in remote or rugged terrain.
-
Previous oil and gas experience or familiarity with industrial safety protocols.
-
Additional safety tickets (e.g. Ground Disturbance, Fall Protection, WHMIS).
-
Experience working as part of an emergency response or medical standby team.


Requirements Before Hire / Before Being Allowed on Site
-
Valid Advanced First Aid Certificate (or equivalent provincial requirement).
-
Current CPR certification.
-
Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
-
H2S Alive.
-
Valid driver’s license.
-
There may be additional orientations or training required depending on client or site-specific requirements (e.g. site orientations, security clearances, operator-specific modules).
